A concise astrolabe course

The second part of the astrolabe tutorial: the house in the astrolabe

In the last section, we introduced the constellations on the astrolabe. In this section, we will introduce the "house" on the astrolabe. For most people, house is a strange word, so it may take a little more time to figure it out than the horoscope in the last section. But don't worry, little friends, the palace is actually very simple. Ok, let's start the second stop of the astrolabe tutorial!

As shown below, I have removed everything else, leaving only the constellation and the house:

The number in the palace is its name. We usually call 12 Palace by the names of 1 Palace, Palace 2 and Palace 3 according to the numbers in it. The small symbol in the palace is "the original ruler of the palace", as shown in the following figure:

My friends, please pay attention. Next, we will learn something we must know! First of all, what is the "palace head"? The palace head is the starting point of the palace. /kloc-each of the 0/2 palaces has a starting point, which is called the palace head.

As shown above, I marked the head of each house with purple lines, in which Asc is the head of 1 house, the big number 2 is the head of the second house, the big number 3 is the head of the third house, arranged counterclockwise, and so on. The general website or software will not mark the palace head, so you need to find it yourself (I marked it for convenience).

Palace and constellation can form a combination. The example I gave is that the first house falls in Leo. Please look at the picture:

Asc is in the range of Leo, and Asc is the head of 1 house, so we can say: 1 house falls in Leo; Similarly, the second house falls in Virgo, the third house in Virgo, the fourth house in Libra, and so on.

For example, as we know before, the head of 1 house is in Leo, and the guardian star of Leo is the sun, so the main star of 1 house is the sun; By analogy, the main star of the second house is Mercury, and the main star of the third house is Mercury ... We found that the heads of four houses are specially marked in English, as shown in the following figure:

It is marked with the palace head Asc of 1, the palace head IC of 4, the palace head Des of 7, and the palace head MC of 10. These four palace heads all have very special and important functions, so they are marked. I'll explain this to you in detail later. These four palace heads are called "four axes".

Palaces are also classified. Let me introduce it here as an understanding. Beginners may not need it, and it doesn't matter if you can't remember it:

Staff: 1, 4, 7, 10

Continued palace: 2, 5, 8, 1 1

Lord protector: 3, 6, 9, 12

Finally, what is "interception" as a slightly expanded understanding. As we said before, houses are unequal, big and small, so sometimes a house may be very big. When this big house encloses the constellation, it is called interception. As shown in the figure below:

We can see that the fourth house and the 10 house are very big, and Taurus and Scorpio are wrapped up, which is interception. Interception has the function of closing and weakening. If you are Taurus, but you don't feel like Taurus, then you can look at your astrolabe. It is possible that Taurus is truncated in your chart, and the truncated constellation is often difficult to show.

The second part of the astrolabe tutorial is here. Compared with the first section, the second section will be more difficult. Good memory can't beat bad writing. Friends might as well use strokes, so they can learn faster!
