General situation of Taoism's thirty-six heavy heavens

Thirty-six days is the space for Taoism to conceive immortals according to Tao's cosmic creation theory. It provides a doctrinal basis for learning to become immortal.

Taoism says that "jumping out of the three realms, not in the five elements" is also a fairy. "Three realms" refers to the three realms of heaven, earth and man. "Five elements" refer to gold, wood, water, fire and earth. Generally speaking, the Taoist thought of "jumping out of the three realms, not in the five elements" means that within the scope of "the three realms" and "the five elements", although it can be beyond life and death, it is bound and unsatisfactory. Jumping out of the three realms and five elements means stepping out of this range, not being bound by this range, and finally surpassing the three realms and living happily, so that you can be truly free and live forever.

The Five Elements is China's ancient material view. Widely used in philosophy, traditional Chinese medicine and divination. The five elements refer to: gold, water, wood, fire and earth. It is believed that nature is composed of five elements, and with the rise and fall of these five elements, nature changes, which not only affects people's fate, but also makes everything in the universe circulate endlessly. Taoism says that there are ghosts after death, but there are not necessarily six divisions in the cycle of cause and effect (the cycle of Taoism was added later), so as long as it is immortal or dead, the ghost will not leave, even if it jumps out. To say that it is not in the five elements means that it is no longer dominated by the movement and transformation of the five elements. "Shangshu" said: "Water is moist, wood is straight, fire is inflamed, soil and fertilizer are golden leather." That is to say, everything circulates in the five elements of transportation, and the water moistens the wood to make a fire to the top, and the soil gets this cycle, while the gold turns from life to death and becomes the nourishment of another cycle, that is, it becomes moist again. When he becomes immortal, he will no longer be restricted by the transformation of the five elements, and Shou Yuan will no longer die of physical exhaustion.
