Brief introduction of Shizhushan scenic spot

Shizhushan National 4A Tourist Scenic Area is located in the western suburb of Fuqing City 10 km. It is famous for its bamboo wonders, Taoist mountains and sacred places for praying for dreams. This mountain is "a stone can always be photographed as a crane, and bamboo wants to be a dragon." Looking at Shizhu Mountain from the east, it is like a dragon, which should be regarded as a "treasure land" in geomantic omen. Looking at Shizhu Mountain from the south, the whole mountain looks like an isosceles triangle, which is magnificent and comparable to the pyramids of ancient Egypt, and people have to sigh the wonders of nature. The Dianthus Temple on the mountain is built on a cliff and looks like a castle in the air. The orange eaves among the green bushes are wrapped in cigarettes, steaming clouds and spitting fog, which is really like a fairyland. Dianthus Temple was built in the first year of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty (AD 847). It has been enduring for thousands of years, and one of its major characteristics is that Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism live in harmony for a long time. The buildings in the temple also fully reflect.

The three major religions have their own characteristics and styles. Kannonji, Temple of Heaven, Xianjun Building, Jade Palace, Wenchang Pavilion and other three religious buildings are built on the mountain, which is risky but not shocking. The original name of Dianthus Temple was Lingbaoguan, but it was renamed Dianthus Temple because of its rugged boulders and lush bamboo forests. Dianthus Temple is not only a thousand-year-old temple, but also a cultural resort with a long history. Celebrities such as Zhu, a Neo-Confucianism scholar in the Song Dynasty, Xu Xiake, a traveler in the Ming Dynasty, and Chen, a geographer in the late Qing Dynasty, all visited here. So far, since the Song Dynasty, more than 20 cliff stone carvings have been left around. Another wonder of Dianthus Temple is the culture of praying for dreams.

The mountain is not high, and the fairy is famous. Tianzi Peak, the main peak of Shizhu Mountain, is only 534.5 meters above sea level. However, since the Han Dynasty, Taoist alchemists have been making an alchemy here, because of the beautiful scenery on the mountain, and the myths and legends handed down like Huang Lin's real person riding a tiger flying high. What's more, He Jiuxian became a god here after becoming an immortal. According to legend, the nine sons of Ren Xia, the magistrate of Fuzhou in the Han Dynasty, made an alchemy in Fuzhou Mountain, and later learned to swim in Jiuli Lake, and came to Shizhu Mountain to show their spirits, giving dreams to the world and blessing the world to eliminate disasters. Therefore, there is a folk saying that "spring prays for carnation dreams and winter asks nine carp". Related to the dream culture of Shizhushan are Ye of Fuqing, the official cabinet in Ming Dynasty, Ma Duo, the champion in Yongle period in Ming Dynasty, Xu Xiake, a great traveler, Chen, a famous minister in Qing Dynasty, Sa Zhenbing, Cai Yunhui, and other famous naval generals in modern times. With these successful examples of politicians, cultural celebrities and overseas Chinese leaders in Fuqing at home and abroad, the efficacy of Dianthus Dream is widely spread.

The Taoist culture in Shizhushan has many peculiar and unique features, including "one dream (praying for a dream), one lot (drawing lots), one spring (following the spring), one wish (making a wish) and one life (Chen Yuan protecting the gods). Shizhushan holds many important religious activities and folk festivals every year, that is to say, Spring Festival: the Spring Festival God and the Spring King. Shizhu Mountain has been regarded as the place of spring since ancient times. On this day of spring every year, thousands of believers come to Shizhu Mountain, holding incense sticks in their hands and worshipping the mountain devoutly. At that time, cigarettes filled the air, candlelight reflected the sky, mountains were everywhere, and pilgrims circled the dragon, forming a very spectacular cultural landscape. There are also the birthday of the God of Wealth, the birthday of the Jade Emperor, the birthday of the Fairy, the Lantern Festival on the fifteenth day of the first month, the Seven Clever Days, the Mid-Autumn Festival, New Year's Eve and so on. All these will make Shizhushan look very lively. Shizhushan has mountains, water, forests, rocks, caves and temples, as well as two pagodas, three rocks, four springs, five immortals, six caves, seven peaks and twelve stones. The grotesque caves are quiet and beautiful. The Dianthus Lake at the foot of the mountain is as green as blue and as bright as a mirror. The green islands in the lake wander around like carp, which constitutes a charming and unique landscape of the whole Dianthus Scenic Area.
