What's the story of old Tang Sun Simiao?

When Emperor Xuandi proclaimed himself emperor in the Northern Zhou Dynasty, he lived in seclusion in Taibai Mountain due to frequent changes of the royal family. Sui Wendi Sui Wendi assisted the Northern Zhou Dynasty and recruited him as a doctor in Guo Zi. He said he was ill and didn't accept the position. I once said to his good friend: In fifty years, there will be a saint, and I will help him govern the world. Emperor Taizong Li Shimin acceded to the throne and called him to the capital. He is old, but he is alert and discerning and refuses to give him a title. In the fourth year of Qing Dynasty, Emperor Li Zhi summoned him and conferred the post of doctor, which he resolutely declined. In the first year of Emperor Gaozong, Sun Simiao requested to return home due to illness. Emperor Gaozong specially gave him a fine horse and arranged for him to live in the manor of Princess Poyang's fief. At that time, famous poets and scholars, such as Song, Meng E and Lu, all served their teachers according to the etiquette of filial piety. Lu has an article saying: Sun Simiao thought runs through ancient and modern times, and the academic circles have exhausted astronomy, calendars and divination. His superb view on the invariability of everything in the world is ancient Zhuangzi; He devoted himself to profound knowledge and is a holy monk in Vimalakīrti, China today. Lu has a painful and intractable disease, and there is no cure. So he asked Sun Simiao: What do smart doctors rely on to treat people? Sun Simiao said: I heard that if you talk naturally, you should be based on human feelings; Talking about human feelings and things should also be based on the laws of nature. Nature is divided into four seasons and five elements: fire, water, wood, gold and earth. This is the law of its circular operation. It rains in peacetime, windy when excited, frosty and snowy when stagnant, and grows into a rainbow when expanding. These are all natural and normal phenomena. People have upper and lower limbs, spleen, lung, kidney, liver, heart and five internal organs. They get up and sleep, exhale and inhale, and their spiritual vitality ebbs and flows. If their blood is smooth, they will be angry. Their appearance is their expression, and vibration is their sound. These are normal human phenomena. Seeing the hidden essence from the exposed appearance is the same method to study nature and human body. For human diseases, clever doctors use drugs to dredge and acupuncture to treat them. For natural disasters, monarchs and officials use the noblest morality to straighten out God's will and people's hearts and try their best to solve specific problems, then some human diseases can be cured and some natural disasters can be eliminated. He also said: treatment should be bold, careful consideration and resolute action. Sun Simiao himself said that he was born in the heart, in the year when Emperor Wendi became emperor, and he is 93 years old this year. When he asked his parents, they all said that he was several hundred years old. He talked about the past events of the Northern Zhou Dynasty and the Southern Qi Dynasty, and proved that he was over 100 years old with his own eyes. At the beginning, Wei Zhi and others compiled the history of Nanqi, Nanliang, Chen Nan, Northern Zhou and Sui Dynasties according to the instructions of Emperor Taizong, and worried about omissions, they asked him for advice many times. Sun Simiao dictated as if he had seen it with his own eyes. Sun Simiao died in the first year of Emperor Gaozong Yongchun. The will requires simple burial, no funerary objects, no sacrificial animals such as sheep, cows and pigs. More than a month after his death, his face and appearance have not changed. When he carried the body into the coffin, it was as light as if he was just holding empty clothes, which surprised people.
