It is often said that "ten schools and nine graves", why do schools have to be built on graves?

Because schools are built on cemeteries, places like schools are places where ghost stories are frequent. Some people ask why there are such rumors, and why a good place doesn't have to use a cemetery as a school site. So far, there are two mainstream explanations.

The first explanation is that there are many "Yin Qi" in the cemetery and many students in the school. Because the students haven't grown up and got married, they are young enough. Yang Qi can shock Yin Qi, the so-called harmony between Yin and Yang, which is why the cemetery was chosen to build a school. Because if something else is built, there won't be so much yang to suppress yin.

The second is because land is cheap. China has a large population, and the average land area is relatively small. In recent years, graves have been moved, so there will be places that used to be graves, which are rejected by developers, because from the perspective of geomantic omen, building houses on graves is not good for residents. Therefore, these land will be relatively cheaper, and good land will not be empty, but will be used to build schools.
