How did the Eight Diagrams originate and develop in the traditional culture of China?

In their original conscious thinking, the evolution of sunshine, moonlight, hurricane, lightning, rainstorm and snow has formed new heat and cold, light and darkness. Therefore, the "yin and yang breath" of "light, darkness, heat and cold" is always closely related to their survival. This is the ancient ancestors' early meteorological concept of the universe and nature, and later realized that "Yin and Yang" will constantly change and go round and round.

After the formation of the counting concept of "1 to 10" natural numbers and the further understanding of eight directions, the concept of "yin and yang" has evolved from the primitive thinking of our ancestors to the concept of natural law consciousness, which is antagonistic, complementary and contradictory. Then it is related to the simple materialistic dialectical abstract thinking of heaven and earth, sun and moon, men and women, and up and down. After the formation of Chinese characters, the concept of Yin and Yang evolved into the category of "unity of opposites" and "contradictory movement" including religion, philosophy, calendar, Chinese medicine, calligraphy, geomantic omen and divination. It is expounded that the interaction between heaven and earth and yin and yang is the beginning of the emergence and change of all things. The same is true of the formation law of natural things.
