What beast?

The top ten beasts in ancient times refer to the beasts in ancient myths and legends. These ten animals are recorded in the sun candles on bronze vessels, the faint light of the lunar calendar moon, dragons, white tigers, basalts, Suzaku, Huanglong, Ying Long, poisonous snakes and ancient books.

It is also said that the top ten beasts are "Bai Ze, Kui, Phoenix, Kirin, Yao, Yan, Ming, Fang Bi, gluttony, Philip" and so on. But these beasts have their own ancient books, the latest of which is Yan.

The god beast in ancient Chinese folk myths and legends refers to the creatures represented by two instruments and two saints (the sun and the moon shine) and four heavenly spirits (the dragon, the white tiger, the suzaku and the Xuanwu), which can be seen in Chinese classics.

Most of these creatures can't find entities in reality, but the composition of their images comes from reality. China used some ancient gods and beasts in divination, especially Daoism and Liu Yi. These beasts often appear in traditional buildings, playing the role of eliminating disasters, avoiding disasters and blessing.
