1, Dulong people love singing and dancing, and are especially good at expressing their thoughts and feelings through singing and dancing, and pouring out their inner joys and sorrows. On holidays, weddings, funerals, building houses, celebrating harvest and other important occasions, we should sing and dance and sing the opposite.

2、? Dominated by the traditional animism, Dulong people generally believe in the existence and function of ghosts. Their understanding and worship of nature is mainly manifested in their beliefs and sacrifices to various ghosts and gods. People used to like to wear earrings and necklaces, but now men seldom wear them. In the past, women had the habit of tattooing, which was called "Baktu" in Dulong language. After the founding of New China, this custom of tattooing was gradually abandoned by Dulong women.

Dulong people have a good tradition of not picking up the road and closing the door at night, and regard stealing as the most shameful behavior.

6. The only traditional festival of Dulong is Spring Festival, which is called "Kar River Wow" in Dulong language. It is usually held in the twelfth lunar month, that is, from February to the following year1October 65438. There is no fixed date, which is decided by each village. The length of the festival depends on the food intake, about two or three days or four or five days. Years ago, friendly families invited each other in the form of "oral communication", "tying ropes" or "carving wood", and guests would arrive as scheduled the day before the festival. During the festival, people worship God, "throw bowls for divination", have New Year's Eve dinner, sing and dance, and stay up all night.

7. The marriage of Dulong people strictly implements the system of intermarriage, that is, men and women of the same clan can't get married regardless of whether they have lineal relatives or not, and there are relatively fixed marriage groups between clans.

8. Dulong people have always been buried. The coffin can be made of four boards, which is convenient for selecting materials. It can also hollow out a garden tree and put it underground, or it can be buried with bamboo mats. This was done the day after death. According to the taboo of Dulong people, the body can't be transported directly from the gate, and it can only be sent out by prying open another gap in the back wall or floor of the house.
