Qiuci site:

The ancient city of Qiuci is located in Pilang Village, about two kilometers west of Kuqa County, Xinjiang.

The circumference of the old city is nearly 8000 meters, the north wall is 2000 meters, the south wall 1806 meters, the east wall 1646 meters, and the west wall is about 2200 meters.

Except for the east, south and north walls, the western wall has disappeared.

The whole city is an irregular square with a wall about 2-7 meters high. It is made of rammed earth, and battlements are built every 40 meters.

During the period of 1985, Huang Wenbi, a famous archaeologist in China, excavated the ancient city of Qiuci. Unearthed cultural relics include stone tools, painted pottery pieces of bone wares, copper pieces, five baht coins of the Han Dynasty, small coins of Qiuci and Kaiyuan Bao Tong.
