Lijiang, a prefecture-level city in Yunnan Province, is located in the northwest of Yunnan Province and at the junction of Yunnan, Sichuan and Tibet provinces. It is an important passage of the ancient "Southern Silk Road" and "Tea-Horse Ancient Road" [1]. The urban area is located at east longitude 100 25' and north latitude 26 86', with a total area of 20,600 square kilometers. It borders Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in the north, Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture in the south, Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture in the west, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan and Panzhihua City in the east, 527 kilometers away from Kunming.
