I am too obsessed with learning Buddhism. Originally, I said I read national news online, but I was not interested and was confused by marginal news.

I suggest you watch as little as possible for the following reasons:

(1) Obviously, the former is much more important than abstinence and the importance of knowing the news. Because the former is related to happiness and liberation in this life and the next. The latter is nothing more than letting yourself know more about current events. If you don't make a living from news, then knowing these news is nothing more than getting a little satisfaction from communicating with people. These gratifications will only make it harder for you to get rid of yourself.

(2) Nowadays, most media have no conscience. Even if they watch the news, they may not get anything good. The official media is a little better, and will not report those absurd news. But they often don't restore the truth, so you are likely to be misled by them. Knowing more fake things is not as good as knowing a little real things. In order to attract people's attention, the general commercial media will report a lot of unfavorable news, just like you said. Even if you can really get some real information by watching the news, it will take some time to identify it, which is not worth the candle.

(3) In recent three years, I seldom watch the news on my own initiative, but it has little influence. Many things were useful at that time, even if they were known later, they were meaningless. Buddhist truth is always correct and useful. Just like impermanence, it can be applied anytime and anywhere. As long as you think for yourself, you can have a clearer understanding of things.

Even if you don't watch the news, you will still know a lot of information as long as you are not isolated from the world. You can try this for yourself for a while, and I believe you won't feel divorced from reality.

Don't tell fortune. As long as you turn over a new leaf and do good deeds, your fate will only get better and better. Is fortune telling important or changing your life important? No matter how accurate the calculation is, it can still be changed to ask only about farming, not about harvest.
