Fuxi Age: Middle and Late Paleolithic Age
Fuxi, the leader of ancient tribes in China. Feng family includes the historical records of Mi family, Ge family, Bao family, Fu family, Tai Hao family and Shi family. He is also revered as a god, known as Di Qing, and tied for the Five Emperors.
Fuxi was born in Ji Cheng, Longxi, and lived in the middle and late Paleolithic period. He is the ancestor of Chinese humanity in ancient legends, the earliest emperor recorded in ancient books in China, and one of the founders of traditional Chinese medicine.
According to legend, Fuxi was the first snake, married Nuwa's brother and sister, and had children. He invented divination and gossip according to the changes of everything in the world, created characters, and ended the history of knotting notes. 11year after Fuxi's death left many legends about Fuxi in mythology.
The story of Fuxi's birth
In ancient times, a girl named Tiaoshi went to a place called Razer and occasionally saw a huge footprint. She stepped on it curiously and got pregnant. Twelve years after her pregnancy, she gave birth to a son with a snake head, named Fuxi.
Fuxi's birthday is March 18. In the Central Plains, there is a custom of offering sacrifices to Fuxi on March 18th of the lunar calendar.
Why do China people call themselves descendants of dragons?
Fuxi has a sacred virtue, uniting all tribes in China, making its capital in Emperor Chen and worshiping Mount Tai. Fuxi created the totem dragon of the Chinese nation with the body of a python, the head of a crocodile, antlers, the eyes of a tiger, the scales of a red carp, the legs of a monitor lizard, the claws of an eagle, the tail of a white shark and the beard of a fin whale, and the descendants of dragons were born.
Fuxi's contribution
Fuxi looked up at the clouds, rain, snow, thunder and lightning in the sky, the strong wind and fog on the ground, and observed the birds and animals. According to the theory of the change of Yin and Yang in heaven and earth, he created Eight Diagrams, which summarized all things in heaven and earth with eight simple but profound symbols.
He imitates spiders in nature to make fishing nets and hunting nets. He also invented a way to remember words instead of tying a knot with a rope.
Fuxi formulated the marriage system of human beings, implemented the dual-track system for men and women, and used deerskin as a dowry. Taking animals as surnames, or taking plants, houses and official positions as surnames, in order to prevent disorderly marriage and consanguineous marriage, has made the origin and continuation of China's surnames to this day.
