Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches

Heavenly stems and earthly branches's knowledge did not need special study in Zhouyi. However, in the hexagrams of Zhouyi, heavenly stems and earthly branches's knowledge will be slightly involved, so I still want to talk about it.

Damn it, there are ten * * *, namely A, B, C, D, E, F, G, Xin, N and Q.

There are twelve branches, namely, Zi, Ugly, Yin, Mao, Chen, Si, Wu, Wei, Shen, You, Xu and Hai.

Ten heavenly stems and twelve earthly branches, with heavenly stems in the front and earthly branches in the back, are pushed back in turn from Jiazi, and heavenly stems and earthly branches cooperates with each other to form 60 combinations of stems and branches. Because heavenly stems and earthly branches's initial combination is Jiazi, these sixty combinations are also called Sixty Jiazi or Sixty Flower Jiazi.

When we say that we are sixty, it means that a person has reached sixty. The reason why the flower armor represents 60 years old is because, heavenly stems and earthly branches, 60 forms a cycle, a reincarnation, that is, 60 flower armor.

Because it is sixty flowers, flowers represent sixty years old.
