The difference between Greek Peninsula and Balkan Peninsula

The two peninsulas are different in geographical location, country and natural landscape.

Geographical location: The Greek Peninsula is located in the eastern Mediterranean, which is the European Peninsula between the Adriatic Sea and the Black Sea, while the Balkan Peninsula is located in the southeast of Europe, which is one of the three major peninsulas in southern Europe, bordering the Black Sea in the east, the Adriatic Sea in the west, the Aegean Sea in the south and the mainland in the north.

Country: There are many countries in the Balkans, including Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Bulgaria, Romania, Albania, Macedonia, Greece and the European part of Turkey.

Natural landscape: the northern and central Balkans are mountainous, with lowland plains along the coast and mountainous islands such as Peloponnesus and Crete in the south. The Greek peninsula is dominated by mountains and hills.
