How does Tao Hongjing's thought integrate Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism? What are his stories?

Tao Hongjing was praised by later generations as one of the immortals in Qin and Han Dynasties and the Prime Minister of Liang and Tang Dynasties. Tao Hongjing is a famous Taoist in Southern Dynasties, an important representative of Taoist Puritanism, and a versatile scholar. This paper mainly discusses his views on Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism through his thoughts and actions. First of all, Tao Hongjing and Confucianism are embodied in three aspects: (1) He was active as an official when he was young, but he still cared about politics after retirement. (2) deep affection for friends; (3) Write Confucian classics. Second, Tao Hongjing and Taoism are embodied in two aspects: (1) writing in Taoism; (2) Taoist activities. Thirdly, Tao Hongjing and Stone (1) are mainly reflected in his Buddhist works. (2) Activities related to Buddhism in Tao Hongjing. Through the above, this paper expounds Tao Hongjing's view of the unity of the three religions and its significance.
