Introduction to tortoise divination

Divination and divination are two earliest mathematical activities in the history of China. The earliest divination materials in history are Oracle Bone Inscriptions or divination symbols carved on it in Shang and Zhou Dynasties. At that time, before deciding on important matters, people burned tortoise shells or the shoulder blades of cattle, and inferred the good or ill luck of personnel according to the cracks burned.
