The power of the concept of destiny is limited.

God's inevitable power in natural religion and polytheism is limited. The fields they are responsible for and the things they can control are limited to specific fields, and the orders they issue cannot exceed this range. Natural religion and polytheism are religious reflections of decentralized social system, and their god's will and power and corresponding outlook on fate are relatively limited.

In the process of developing from polytheism to monotheism, the manifestation of the concept of destiny and its authoritative scope have also expanded from the limited field to the infinite field.

In the absolute monotheistic system, God or God becomes the only true God in the world and the kingdom of heaven. The only God abolished the existence of God in polytheism, and concentrated the power of the secondary God in charge of all kinds of things in the world in his own hands, becoming an absolute entity that dominates everything and knows everything. God's will determines everything, and God's power controls everything. Everything in the past and present is arranged by fate, and everything in the future is arranged by fate. God's destiny is infinite in strength and utility.

There are various transitional monotheism, alternate monotheism, dualism and so on. There are also two types of intermediate mixed forms between polytheism and monotheism, and between finite and infinite views of fate. The idea that God is the supreme God appeared in the Shang Dynasty in China, and the Yin people almost begged for the revelation of fate through divination. However, this view of destiny is not infinite, and Yin people don't think everything is decided by God's will. Besides God, there are some secondary gods giving orders. Yin people are especially pious in their worship of ancestor gods, believing that ancestor gods are more concerned about their own immediate interests. Judaism, Christianity and Islam have absolute and infinite views on fate. Their God or Allah is not only the creator of all things, but also the ruler of all things.
