Astrology has a history of at least several thousand years in China, but the real history may be more distant. In essence, it, Taiji, Hetu, Luoshu, Zhouyi and Bagua all come from prehistoric civilization.

The ancients believed that "heaven and man are connected" and "heaven and man are one", and we can infer what will happen to human beings from the changes of astronomical phenomena. When people conform to the weather, the "sky" will be auspicious, and the world will be full of crops, good weather and peace. If people go against the sky and do bad things, the "sky" will bring bad omen, and the earth will be dry and rainy, flooded and mutinied. So the ancients attached great importance to the observation of astronomical phenomena.
