What is the main content of the prophetess?

The soothsayer depicts a street scene that Caravaggio happened to see. A gypsy woman, probably a tramp who lives by divination, has gypsy palm reading ability, sly eyes, faint smile, and holds a young man's hand with gentlemanly manner. The composition of the whole work is concise, and two busts of a man and a woman are interlocking. Because only the bust of the character was depicted, all unnecessary details were deleted. Make the characters stand out. This genre painting seems to be Caravaggio's favorite form in his early works. This form was adopted in The Card Player and The Guitarist.
