1, Bin Sun

Sun Bin had just come out of the Ghost Valley, and he didn't know that people's hearts were sinister. His younger brother Pang Juan showed his kindness many times, so when Pang Juan, the general of Wei, invited Sun Bin, he gladly went. Who knows that Pang Juan was jealous of Sun Bin's talent and framed Sun Bin's wife in front of Wang Wei, pretending to beg Wang Wei.

Uninformed Sun Bin was grateful for Pang Juan's intercession and wanted to write Sun Bin's Art of War for Pang Juan. Fortunately, a servant told the truth, which didn't let Pang Juan succeed. Sun Bin then began to play the fool. Later, taking advantage of Pang Juan's lax private meeting, he became an emissary to help him go to the State of Qi and recommend it to General Tian Ji.

Sun Bin showed his talent by helping Tian Ji to race horses, and Tian Ji recommended Sun Bin to the King of Qi. After Sun Bin's words, the King of Qi saw Sun Bin's talent and immediately became a strategist. Then came the famous battles of besieging the state of Wei to save Zhao and ambushing Maling, and after the war of Maling, Sun Bin made a great contribution and retired from anonymity.

2. Pang Juan

After Pang Juan went down the mountain, he went to Wei, in the land of four wars. Conquered by North Korea for many years, Zhao fought against Chu and established a reputation as a disciple of Ghost Valley in troubled times. Afraid that Sun Bin would threaten his position, he secretly sent someone to invite Sun Bin to Wei to spy on him.

After Sun Bin arrived in Wei, Pang Juan fabricated charges, sentenced Sun Bin to flogging, cut off Sun Bin's feet, and tattooed his face in an attempt to bury him in the world. Sun Bin retaliated against Pang Juan after fleeing Qi. He first lost Wei's prestige in Guilin, and then panic in Pang Juan in Maling. After the defeat, Pang Juan was desperate and committed suicide in the disorderly army.

3. Su Qin

Su Qin, a well-read man, went out to lobby monarchs of various countries, but was turned away in countries such as Zhao and Chu, so he turned to Qin, but the king of Qin did not leave him. In desperation, Su Qin went to Yan State. Yan was finally persuaded by him to travel around the world with horses, chariots, gold and silk. He went to Zhao to lobby for an alliance between Yan and Zhao, then to South Korea, Wei and Qi, and finally to lobby Chu.

Under the lobbying of Su Qin, the six countries were unified as a whole. Su Qin started with dragons. Equivalent to the Secretary-General, Su Qin was able to serve as Commander-in-Chief of the Six-Power Allied Forces. The six countries joined forces to resist Qin and shocked Qin. However, Su Qin's final fate is not good. He was assassinated in the State of Qi, and was later executed by the King of Qi for treason, and his death was quite miserable.

4. Zhang Yi

After finishing her studies, Zhang Yi went to lobby the governors. Zhang Yi used the strategy of bullying the weak to facilitate the import and export of Qin Guodong, and won his land without bloodshed through diplomatic means. Zhang Yi's tongue stirred up the six countries, which was of great help to Guo Qin's strategy of breaking diplomatic relations with the East.

After Qin Huiwen's death, the new king was a warrior king who liked to dance with knives and axes. He doesn't like Zhang Yi who likes to engage in diplomatic intrigue. Zhang Yi later fled Wei and became Wei Xiang, and died a year later.

Extended data:

As the four most famous disciples of Guiguzi, Sun Bin, Pang Juan, Su Qin and Zhang Yi were quite famous during the Warring States Period. But in troubled times, if a person is talented and famous, he must have a gambling mentality. After all, the external environment is changing rapidly, and life and death are also overnight.

Military strategists' philosophy (represented by Guiguzi) is deeply influenced by Laozi's philosophy. The social activities of "making love" by strategists reflect the Taoist thought of strategists; Under the guidance of Taoist thought, the strategists strive to "change yin and yang" in order to achieve the goal of "defeating the strong with the weak"

Guiguzi, as a summary of lobbying experience of strategists, combines the essence of Guiguzi's lifelong academic research, and its value is self-evident. As a masterpiece of strategists, this book provides many references for future generations to understand the thoughts of strategists and Taoists.

Guiguzi was included in Taoist Collection and Mingtai Propaganda Department, but the name of the annotator was not included. However, most of his notes avoided the taboo in the Tang Dynasty and covered Yin's notes in the Tang Dynasty.
