What can rabbits eat?

Staple grasses (unlimited supply): alfalfa grass (moderate amount), Chinese grass, Australian wheat (heading), oats, ladder grass (Katie, Meiti).

Auxiliary grass (limited supply): black tree grass, barley grass, wheat grass and ryegrass (appropriate amount).

Snack grass (occasionally supplied): dandelion, mint leaves, mulberry leaves, lotus leaves and corn leaves.

Vegetables that can be eaten for more than 4 months (occasionally appropriate): arugula, radish tassel, cucumber leaves, lettuce, cabbage, basil leaves, watercress, chicory, bitter chrysanthemum, raspberry leaves, coriander, Chinese cabbage, fennel, fennel, borage leaves, oil wheat leaves, celery, cabbage, beet leaves and cauliflower leaves.

Flowers and plants (occasionally appropriate) can be eaten for more than 6 months: chamomile, rose, horsetail, forget-me-not, calendula, thyme, apocynum venetum leaves, papaya strips, stevia, lemon grass, rosemary, apple blossom, carnation, geranium, sunflower and violet.

What can't rabbits eat?

Don't feed these: potatoes, red beans, soybeans, corn, onions, leeks, garlic, cauliflower heads, bamboo shoots, cassava, tea leaves, rhubarb leaves, orange peels, avocados, rice, desserts, chocolates, milk and nuts.

Fruits (occasionally appropriate) cannot be eaten for less than six months: apple (seeded and peeled), cherry, pear, peach, papaya, mango, pineapple, banana, carambola, apricot, nectarine, grape (seeded and peeled), pitaya, strawberry, watermelon, blueberry, kiwi, melon, plum and blackberry.
