He is Shang Zhouwang's uncle. Why did he establish Korea after the national subjugation?
Among them? Three benevolence at the end of Yin Dynasty? Today, I want to talk about Ji Zi, one of the "three benevolence". He is Shang Zhouwang's uncle. At the turn of the Shang and Zhou Dynasties, he chose to cross the East, crossed the sea from Jiaozhou Bay, and came to the Korean Peninsula to educate the aborigines and establish the Jizi Korean Kingdom. However, in the past 100 years, North Korea and its regime denied that Ji Zi was their ancestor.
Today, the author analyzes it from three aspects:
Why did Ji Zi pretend to be crazy?
Why did Ji Zi leave the Korean Peninsula?
Why does modern Korea deny Ji Zi's ancestral identity?
1. Why does Kiko play the fool?
The author of the first two articles has analyzed it. Are they the same? Three benevolence at the end of Yin Dynasty? Bigan's heart was dug out, and Wei Ziqi established Song State. This passage focuses on the analysis of three people's different choices and completely different fate trends.
Bi Ganhe is the son of the penultimate king of Shang Dynasty. They helped inherit his brother Deyi. After Di Yi's death, Shang Zhouwang Di Xin succeeded to the throne. They were both ministers of auxiliary government, which helped Shang Zhouwang stabilize the country.
So, as far as identity is concerned, Bi Gan and Ji Zi are both uncles of Shang Zhouwang, and they are also elder ministers with relatively stable politics in Shang Dynasty. Look at Wei again. He is Shang Zhouwang's eldest brother. He missed the throne because he was born a few years earlier. When Zhou Wang was in office, he was still cautious as an official.
The three of them have different personalities and political positions, so they show different styles of doing things. In the face of tyrannical Shang Zhouwang, Bigan remonstrated with death and advised Zhou Wang to turn back, but he was finally cut out and died. Wei saw that the tide was gone, so he planned to go to Zhou.
Ji Zi once had the experience of being rejected, so he wisely chose another way to avoid disaster. He is not as frank as Bi Gan, nor as extreme as Wei. He chose to play the fool, so that he could save his life and not be called a traitor.
In the end, he was just imprisoned by Shang Zhouwang and became a slave. His choice principle will also indicate that he will go far to the Korean peninsula in the future.
Second, why did Ji Zi leave the Korean Peninsula?
From the above analysis of Shang Zhouwang's tyrannical attitude, it can be concluded that Ji Zi usually has its own principles of action when faced with major choices: first, it will not be hard, and second, it will not rebel. Therefore, after the subjugation of the Shang Dynasty, he fled to Jishan in order to avoid the military disaster and enjoy his old age. Unexpectedly, when Zhou Wuwang passed Ji Mountain, he specially invited Ji Zi to help Zhou Shi.
Ji Zi's choice difficulty at the moment has been made again. He politely refused Zhou Wuwang's kind invitation. After King Wu left, he chose to leave Ji Mountain to avoid King Wu looking for him again.
After leaving Jishan, Ji Zi led the ethnic group all the way eastward, crossed the sea in Jiaozhou Bay and reached the beautiful Korean Peninsula. Seeing the beautiful scenery here, I decided to settle here and named it Korea.
Then he ruled the local aborigines and educated them. They were taught to cultivate farmland, build houses, raise silkworms and weave cloth. They also formulated the Basic Law, which brought Korean culture accumulated for thousands of years to this wild land and established Jizi China.
Ji Zi's choice has the following three advantages:
First, it doesn't belong to Zhou;
Second, although ji zi's national strength was weak, it paid tribute to the Zhou Dynasty, but it also belonged to an equal and independent kingdom.
Third, and most importantly, as a survivor of the Shang Dynasty, he established political power on the Korean Peninsula, which is also a continuation of the Shang Dynasty.
3. Why do modern North and South Korea deny Ji Zi's ancestral home?
Jizi Korea lasted until the Western Han Dynasty. Wei Man, who was ambitious, was eventually replaced by Wei Man, and Wei Man and Korea were founded. But today, Ji Zi's influence has lasted for more than 900 years, not only inheriting China culture, but also developing a brand-new cultural heritage on this basis. It can be said that Ji Zi is recognized as the ancestor of Korean civilization.
However, in modern times, due to political relations, the Han Dynasty began to deny Ji Zi's ancestor status, and instead regarded a mythical figure, Dan Gen, as the ancestor. However, history cannot be tampered with. There is still a surname of Ji on the Korean peninsula, and it is also recorded in the historical documents of North Korea itself. Such a great historical figure can't be erased!
