The relationship between Sun Bin in ancient China and the author of Sun Tzu's Art of War.

Sun Tzu's Calculation Classics belongs to ten calculation classics (Zhou Pi 'ai's Calculation Classics, Nine Chapters Arithmetic, Island Calculation Classics, Zhang Qiu Calculation Classics, Xiahou Yang Calculation Classics, Five Classics Arithmetic, Compilation Classics, Five Cao Calculation Classics and Sun Tzu Calculation Classics). The author of Ten Books on Calculation is Zu Chongzhi.

Note: It is recorded that Zu Chongzhi wrote Ten Books on Calculations, but Zu Chongzhi did not do it alone. Some of them were summarized, revised and perfected on the basis of other people's works.

In ancient times, "Zi" was a respectful name for others, so anyone surnamed Sun could be called "Sun Zi" as long as he had a certain status, so it was not necessarily Sun Bin who called Sun Zi.

Sun Bin was a celebrity in ancient times, just like a star now. If he wrote a book, it must be recorded. What's more, what the ancients thought was how to be immortal and admired by future generations. Few people write books and hide them in silence for publication.

In ancient times, it was politicians or masters of the art of war who really had a position. Mathematicians don't have high positions. They often take part in divination. So it can be guessed that there was a mathematician named Sun who devoted himself to mathematics, but nobody cared. He was unknown, and finally spent decades publishing what he had learned in his life into a book, calling himself "grandson" (for example, all the people who published books called themselves professors, laymen and scattered people). Unexpectedly, it was copied when others sorted out the anthology, and the value of this book was discovered and regarded as a classic until later generations paid more attention to mathematics!

Later, this book was discovered by the famous mathematician Zu Chongzhi, who revised and improved it. Copying others' achievements is not good, but also retaining the surname of the original author, named Sun Tzu's Art of War.
