In terms of marriage, Koreans are monogamous. According to traditional customs, close relatives, cousins and surnames are not allowed to get married. The groom's wedding is generally conducted in the order of goose-laying ceremony, goose-worshipping ceremony, sexual intercourse ceremony and banquet ceremony. The groom's family also held a wedding banquet for the bride. The next day, the bride and her husband's family recognized each other, gave gifts to each other and were invited to a banquet. At this point, the wedding is over. Koreans generally don't get divorced after marriage. They held a ceremony of offering wooden geese at the wedding, symbolizing the wish of husband and wife to grow old together.
