Jiuxian Mountain was formerly known as Jiufeng Mountain.

Legend has it that there is a cowherd grazing on the mountain in Houfang Village. One day, while grazing, he saw eight old people playing chess. He was fascinated by it. After watching it for a long time, he only knew that he was thirsty and hungry. Then an old man said, "Little boy, you are thirsty. Go to the spring and get a bucket of water to drink. " The prince immediately called back for him to drink. After a while, the old man said, "Are you hungry? There are peaches over there. Go and take them off. " The shepherd boy went under the peach tree and saw nine peaches on the tree. He chose, eight were big and good, and one was small and bitten by a bug. He gave the big one to eight old people and ate the small one himself. The old man asked him why he ate snacks. The shepherd boy said that he was younger than the old man and wanted to eat snacks. What the shepherd boy doesn't know is that the immortal power is tuned to this little Xiantao.

After eating, the shepherd boy began to play chess again. At dusk, the old man asked the little boy at home. The shepherd boy replied that there was a mother at home, and the old man signaled that the shepherd boy should go home to visit his mother. The prince remembered that he was going home, so he took the mountain spring water with taro leaves to his mother, because her mother said the water in the mountains was sweet.

After going down the mountain, he found that the village had changed a lot, and his original home was an empty land. Asked all over the village, only an old man told him that he had heard of this family of origin when he was a child, and his little shepherd boy prince had been grazing in the mountains and never came back. It's been many years now, and all the staff have left. The shepherd boy was startled, and the spring fell to the ground, forming a fairy spring.

The shepherd boy went back to the mountain to find eight old people, only to know that these eight people were the Eight Immortals, and the prince was named the Nine Immortals by Lv Dongbin. When people in Jian 'ou, Pingnan, Gutian and other places went to private schools, the teacher taught students English: "When a gentleman went to Jiushan, Dan Cheng entered for nine days, and the mountain was divided into seven days, which lasted for thousands of years." Since then, this mountain has been named Jiuxian Mountain. This is the origin of Jiuxian Mountain.
