There are also many people who believe in luck and think that some amulets can make them lucky again and again. This means that most Europeans still can't get rid of the shackles of religion. So they unconsciously admit that they believe there is some supernatural power in the world.

Americans have different views on religion from their relatives in Europe. Although the number of non-religious people in the United States is increasing, most Americans still believe in God. The southern United States is even worse. There is a so-called "Bible Belt" area in the United States. This means that more than 50% of the population belonging to the "Bible Belt" countries believe in Christianity.

In fact, religion has played an important role in American politics. In almost every election, candidates use religion to canvass votes. If any American presidential candidate publicly declares that he is an atheist, this candidate will definitely lose his reputation and will not be favored by voters.

Because America is a secular country, many American movies are religious neutral. In addition, religion is a sensitive issue for Americans, so there are few books or movies with religion as the theme.

Canada, America's close neighbor, is different. Canadians' indifference to religion is well known. According to Canada's 200 1 census, 16% people are not religious, just like the United States. Even so, Americans attend church services more than Canadians. This shows that religion still plays an important role in the United States.
