In the Three Kingdoms, how do women handle menstruation?

In Maharashtra, central India, there is a village that still retains ancient bad habits. There are only 20 families in the village. Under the bondage of old ideas, they think that women's menstrual period is "unclean", and if menstrual women stay in the village, it will bring disaster to the villagers. Therefore, women in the village are not allowed to live in the village during menstruation, and must be isolated in the dark room outside the village until the end.

These houses that isolate women during menstruation are called Gaokers by locals. Gaokers is very simple, with no electricity, no bed and no basic furniture. These menstruating women can only sleep on the cold floor. What's more strange is that local customs stipulate that menstruating women can't use any kitchen utensils, so menstruating women can only wait for their families to send food and daily necessities.

The custom of menstrual isolation has brought serious inconvenience to local girls, and most women have suffered serious physical and mental trauma. This compulsory isolation makes them absent from classes and interrupt their studies, which also becomes an important factor limiting their higher education. According to incomplete statistics, 23% girls in India were forced to drop out of school because of menarche. So far, the government intends to improve the living conditions of the Gokel people, but it has not ordered the prohibition of the custom of menstrual isolation.
