Why is there only one hermit in ancient times, Guiguzi?

Guiguzi was a famous strategist and thinker during the Warring States Period in China. His art of war and philosophy had certain influence in ancient China, but he was not the only hermit or genius in ancient times. There were many outstanding philosophers, writers, militarists and hermits in ancient China, and each of them had outstanding achievements.

Guiguzi is famous partly because his book Guiguzi's Art of War and its military strategic thoughts occupy an important position in the ancient military history of China. His Art of War emphasizes strategy, ingenuity, disguise and change, which has a far-reaching influence on later military theory and practice.

Other hermits and cattle people in ancient China also made their own unique contributions, such as Laozi, Zhuangzi, Mozi, Confucius, Mencius and Sun Tzu. They represent different schools of philosophy, schools of thought and fields, and have exerted a wide influence on China's culture and thoughts.

Therefore, although Guiguzi was one of the outstanding figures in ancient China, he was not the only ancient hermit or cattle man. There were many outstanding thinkers and wise men in ancient China, who enriched China's cultural and philosophical traditions.
