Why is Confucius called a saint?

First, because his thoughts meet the needs of the rulers to consolidate their rule, his thoughts of "benevolence", "virtue" and "propriety" are conducive to stabilizing the feudal rule order, and such thoughts can naturally be valued by the rulers;

Second, later Confucian scholars put forward ideas to meet the needs of the development of autocratic monarchy in carrying forward Confucianism, and constantly improved the status of Confucianism;

Third, the historical and political order is stable. After the rule was consolidated, Confucius was valued, and when the society was in turmoil, Confucius was the first to be criticized.
