Flowers of war is a famous story in the history of China, which tells the tragic fate of a rich woman in the late Ming Dynasty. One of the most famous episodes is that nutmeg's hair drips with blood.

Mo Chounv, the protagonist in the story, was originally a cheerful and kind girl, but was forced into a maid-in-waiting by her family. In the palace, Mo Chounv met twelve other women, and they became the only support for each other. Due to the restrictions of the palace rules, these women rarely have the opportunity to see the outside world, so they get along with the eunuchs in the palace. One of the eunuchs named Han Qiong likes Mo Chounv very much and often gives her some rare things.

Later, when Mo Chounv learned that his marriage was related to the safety of Jiangshan, he was very anxious. She came up with a plan to exchange her nutmeg hair for Han Qiong's help. However, this tactic has caused tragedy. Because the cardamom years represent Mo Chounv's innocence and purity, and in the palace, the matter of Gong Wei is a secret that must not be revealed, otherwise it will lead to disastrous consequences. When Han Qiong told the eunuch the secret, these women were regarded as traitors, and 13 of them were finally executed.

This story profoundly reveals the helplessness of women in feudal society and the fragility and misery of women's life in the palace. The plot of nutmeg hair dripping blood has also become an important symbol to describe this history.
