Pingxiang City is located in the west of Jiangxi Province, bordering Yichun City in the east, Ji 'an City in the south, Zhuzhou City in Hunan Province in the west and Liuyang City in Hunan Province in the north. The development of history

As far back as the Neolithic Age more than 5,000 years ago, there were three Miao people living in Pingxiang. Pingxiang belongs to Yangzhou in the Western Zhou Dynasty, Wu in the Spring and Autumn Period and Chu in the Warring States Period. In the Han Dynasty, it belonged to Yichun County and Zhang Yu County. Sun Hao, the Emperor of the Three Kingdoms, established Pingxiang County in the second year of Baoding (267), and the county ruled the ancient port of Luxi.

In the second year of Tang Wude (6 19), the county magistrate moved from Gugang in Luxi to Fenghuang Pool in Pingxiang (now the city magistrate's office). The Tang Dynasty belonged to Yuanzhou, the west road of Jiangnan. In Yuanyuan Zhenyuan (1295), Pingxiang was upgraded from county to state.
