Shandong dialect, Henan dialect and Anhui dialect, how to distinguish these three dialects with similar accents?

In fact, there is a gap between Henan dialect, Shandong dialect and Anhui dialect, but they are all located in cities in the Central Plains Mandarin area, and the difference is not too big. For example, the dialects in northern Anhui, such as Fuyang in Bozhou, belong to the Central Plains Mandarin area. The differences between Henan dialect and Shandong Lunan dialect are not very big, and they can basically communicate with each other, which makes people feel that they are a dialect. The dialects spoken in Huangshan and Xuancheng in southern Anhui are mainly Huizhou dialects, which are quite different from those in northern Anhui. The dialects spoken in Jiaodong, Shandong Province, such as those in Qingdao and Weihai, are also different from those in southern Shandong, and some of them belong to Jilu Mandarin area.

As we all know, there are 34 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government in China, and there are differences in dialect, culture and climate in each region. For example, the southern and northern provinces are completely different, while the dialect differences in some neighboring provinces are relatively small. For example, Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao are mainly Cantonese, and the core of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai is Wu. Today, many people think that the dialects in Anhui, Henan and Shandong are very similar, especially in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai.

In fact, Anhui dialect, Shandong dialect and Henan dialect do have similar dialects. For example, most places in southwestern Shandong, northern Anhui and Henan use the Central Plains Mandarin, but the difference between the Mandarin areas is often not too big, giving people in other dialect areas an illusion that the dialects in these three places are the same, while the Shandong dialect and Henan dialect are really close, except for Jiaoliao Mandarin in northeastern Shandong, which is somewhat different from the Central Plains Mandarin.

However, in cities in southern Anhui, such as Xuancheng and Huangshan, many people here use Huizhou dialect and Wuxuanzhou dialect, both of which belong to the southern dialect, which is very different from the Central Plains Mandarin. Jianghuai Mandarin is used in central Anhui, which is similar to the accent of cities along the Yangtze River in Jiangsu, while Xuzhou and some Suqian in Jiangsu also use Zhongyuan Mandarin.
