Hengshan Mountain, also known as Nanyue, Shouyue and Nanshan, is one of the "Five Mountains" in China. Zhu Rongshi, the ancestor of mankind and the god of Nanyue, lives in Hengshan Mountain, Nanyue, and is the god in charge of human happiness, wealth and longevity. The historical records of Nanyue as the first Yue are very rich. Many ancient records, such as Life and Death Treasure in the Spring and Autumn Period, Zhan Jing in the Kaiyuan Period, Jingyi in the Spring and Autumn Period, Yijing by Fei Zhi and Tian Wenzhi in the Tang Dynasty, all recorded Nanyue as Shouyue.

Hengshan Shou culture in Nanyue has a long history and profound connotation. There are many names with the word "shou" or "shou", such as Wanshou Palace, Shouning Palace, Shoujianqiao, Shoujianxi, Baishou Pavilion, Yanshou Pavilion, Yanshou Village and Shoufotang. Nanyue Temple is a building with longevity culture in Nanyue. The word "longevity" can be seen everywhere on eaves, horizontal columns and decorative frames, and there are 100 seal characters written on the purlin of the pavilion in northern Henan, so it is also called "Bai Shou Pavilion".
