Where is Gaixia Ancient Battlefield Cultural Tourist Area in Guzhen County, Bengbu City?

Haocheng is called "Gaixia" in history. In 202 BC, Chu and Han fought for Gaixia, and Liu Bang destroyed Xiang Yu's Chu regime in one fell swoop. The Battle of Gaixia established the history of the Han Dynasty for more than 400 years, hence the names of Chinese characters, Chinese language, Chinese culture and Chinese nation. This campaign is unprecedented in scale and has far-reaching influence in the history of China and world wars. Haocheng has a rich cultural heritage, and the touching stories such as Embarrassed on All Sides, Ambush on All Sides and Farewell My Concubine, which are widely circulated among the people, all come from Haocheng, so the historical and cultural heritage of Haocheng is very rich. The ancient battlefield site of the Battle of Gaixia (commonly known as Overlord Site) is now a key cultural relic protection unit in Anhui Province. Gaixia ancient battlefield site covers an area of about 25 hectares. Xiang Yu, the overlord of Chu at that time, used this as the stronghold of the garrison-"Overlord City", which built a city with irregular soil. Although it has experienced more than 2000 years of wind and rain, the city site still exists, and the style of that year is still visible. Ancient Han tombs are scattered around the city. After liberation, a large number of national-level protected cultural relics were unearthed, such as "Jiji", "Golden Tortoise" and "Silver Jade Clothes". In September, 2000, experts from national, provincial and municipal departments of cultural relics, archaeology and tourism demonstrated the protection, restoration and development of tourism resources of Gaixia ancient battlefield site. It is agreed that it is of great practical and far-reaching historical significance to protect and make good use of the ancient battlefield site in Gaixia.

The ancient battlefield site of the Battle of Gaixia, the site of Daze Township Uprising, Yuji's Tomb, Fengyang Mausoleum, Wang Yu Temple, Tanghe Tomb and other tourist attractions constitute a line of cultural tourism in northern Anhui. Gaixia Site is located in an area with convenient transportation and fast communication, 24 kilometers away from beijing-shanghai railway. There are many highways in China (329 provincial highway, 104 national highway and 206 national highway), and the Tuohe River is adjacent to the north, which is rich in water resources.
