Why didn't Confucius learn Yi in his early years and Yi in his later years?

From the Analects of Confucius, we can see that Confucius' view of Yi-ology has changed greatly. Before his early years, Confucius not only did not appreciate the Book of Changes, but regarded it as the opposite of "seeking virtue" and "doing righteousness". After his old age, he was uncharacteristically easy, obsessed with "living in his place and acting in his room." This change in Confucius' view of the Book of Changes in his later years is due to his discovery that the Book of Changes contains profound philosophy and "ancient last words". This understanding may have come from Confucius' reading of the book Virtue of Virtue and The Reason why Zhou is King collected by Lu Taishi. It is said that this version of Yijing was written by Confucius, and some parts of this version of Yijing may have the same relationship with Yijing as Chunqiu and Chunqiu. From this point of view, Confucius' view of Yi-ology in his later years and Confucius' interpretation of the philosophy of Zhouyi are of course his own creations, but there is no doubt that he also absorbed the achievements of predecessors and has its historical origins.

The word "Yi" in the chapter "Learning at Fifty" in The Analects of Confucius and Lu Lun cannot be regarded as "Yi". I also think that this chapter is the regret of Confucius after studying the Book of Changes in his later years. Before his later years, Confucius regarded Zhouyi as a book of divination and adopted an exclusive attitude, so he could not sigh that "you can learn Zhouyi without making big mistakes." Only when you are "old and easy" and realize that you can "view its morality" will you say such regrets.
