Physical Geography of Haicheng City, Liaoning Province

Terrain: Haicheng has a complex landform, with mountains, hills, plains and depressions, high in the southeast and low in the northwest, and inclines from east to south to northwest. Most of the eastern mountainous areas and hilly areas are between 60 and 500 meters above sea level, and the western plain gradually descends from 60 meters above sea level to the Hunhe and Taizihe plains. The tributaries in the upper reaches of Haicheng River are dendritic, originating from Hongqiling, Yushuling, Tangmaoshan and Hailongchuan Mountain. Mountains surround the upper reaches of Haicheng River, forming valley plains such as Wenjie, Shimu and Ma Feng. The western plain is alluvial by Haicheng River and Wudao River, and the transition zone between the foothills and the plain is mostly hilly. East of Baiyun Mountain Nature Reserve in Haicheng, with rolling mountains, full of green. Qian Shan lies like a dragon in the east gate, forming a natural barrier.

Tangmaoshan is a channel connecting the east and west rivers; As the hub of the north and south land and sea, Tangwangshan was called "the important place in the left of Liaoning" in ancient times. This mountain range extends from northeast to southwest. After the peaks surged, they fell into several isolated mountains, opposing each other, and the urban area was built at the foot of Xu Mountain. Climatic characteristics: The climate of the whole territory is mild, with an annual average temperature of 10.4℃ and rainfall of 721.3mm, belonging to a warm temperate monsoon climate zone. Four distinct seasons and abundant rainfall are extremely favorable natural conditions for the development of industrial and agricultural production.
