Brief introduction of Cheng Xueqin

Cheng Xueqin, male, (1938 ~2009) composer of Huangmei Opera. Growing up in the countryside of Huaining County, Anqing City, the hometown of Huangmei Opera, local farmers spontaneously organized various performances of Huangmei Opera Troupe, Huangmei tunes and rich folk songs sung in rural areas, which left a deep memory and emotional influence on his childhood. Since then, Cheng Xueqin has been fascinated by music. At the age of six, he met a blind fortune teller who was playing erhu while walking. He thought it was particularly nice, so he followed him 10 mile. After listening, he walked 10 miles back alone and got a beating when he got home. In middle school, he went through Anqing Huangmei Opera Troupe (later Anqing Huangmei Opera Troupe) from home to school. During his self-study period, he sat at the door and listened to the rehearsal of the troupe every night until the play was over.
