Is the peach blossom fairy a fairy?

The source of the name of the Peach Blossom Fairy is a temporary honorific title based on body language for Taoists before they know who it is. The appearance of Ma Xian, worthy of being called Wong Tai Sin in some places, actually refers to a mountain monster who does good deeds by enjoying incense. The sources of the two are inconsistent.
