Is West Street in Chuanhui District of Zhoukou City a slum area?

1, Zhoukou municipal government announced that on February 3, 2009, West Street in Chuanhui District of Zhoukou City was transformed into a shanty town, and 14 transformation project was started successively, with a construction area of 900,000 square meters and more than 9,000 people have been resettled.

2. After the renovation of West Street in Chuanhui District, Zhoukou City, the four industrial parks of high-tech, machinery manufacturing, light industry textile and industrial incubation have begun to take shape, and the infrastructure of the park is complete. Six enterprises, including Great Wall Door Industry, Sunshine Cable, JinxiHuaxia Steel Structure and Tianyuan Towel Quilt, have been put into production, many enterprises are under construction, and five projects have been settled.

3. On August 29th, 2023, Chuanhui District of Zhoukou City has been designated by the municipal government as an industrial cluster area of SME incubation area, becoming a new industrialization demonstration area.
