What if the cat catches you?

The doctor said that "cat paw disease" usually occurs after people are scratched by small pets. The actual situation is inflammation and swelling after lymph node infection. The main symptom of this disease is that blisters or small lumps appear on the arms, hands, head and hair three to ten days after being scratched. This disease is usually misjudged as the result of insect bites. In fact, it is a kind of wound called vaccination, and germs are often transmitted to the human body according to it. About 70% of patients have been scratched by cats. Within two weeks after being scratched by a cat's paw, the lymph nodes around the vaccinated wound will swell and feel soft. This swollen lymph node is common in the armpit, neck and neck. The diameter of swollen lymph nodes varies from 1 ~ 5cm, and there are swelling areas around them. This swollen lymph node can last for several months.

For most people who have been scratched by cats, swollen lymph nodes can indicate that they are infected with "cat's paw disease", but about one-third of people who have been scratched by cats will have more common symptoms, such as fever above 38 degrees, fatigue, loss of appetite and headache. Among the people who are scratched by cats, about 14% still have some atypical symptoms of "cat's paw disease", such as ulcer in the affected area after vaccination and lymph node enlargement around the ear. Other possible symptoms include osteitis, pneumonia, hepatosplenomegaly and unexplained persistent high fever. This disease usually lasts for two weeks after it appears. Cat's paw gets better slowly, but it can heal itself.
