Second, on the surface, the Tathagata named the golden-winged Dapeng bird as the messenger of the net altar, but in fact, since then, the golden-winged Dapeng bird has lost its freedom. Just like a general who is fighting outside, he has been recruited into the court to become a civil servant and is no longer lethal. As for the Tathagata Buddha, cutting his own flesh for the golden-winged Dapeng bird is not a loss at all for people at this level. His piece of meat will never be finished. In the long run, he insists on making a big bird.

Thirdly, the golden-winged Dapeng bird is one of the few people in The Journey to the West who really want to eat Tang monk meat, but his level has reached the point of immortality, so he only wants to eat Tang monk meat for the sake of excitement. The Buddha's imprisonment of the golden-winged Dapeng bird is his greatest punishment.
