Chishui City, a county-level city in Guizhou Province, belongs to Zunyi City, located in the northwest of Guizhou Province, in the middle and lower reaches of Chishui River, between east longitude105 36' and10614', between north latitude 2815' and 45', with Xishui in Guizhou in the southeast.

It is 225 kilometers away from Zunyi, 377 kilometers away from Guiyang, 293 kilometers away from Chengdu and 40 kilometers away from Luzhou, with a total area of 1852 square kilometers. Evolution of Chishui organizational system

In the Neolithic age, there were human activities in the middle and lower reaches of Chishui River, and stone axes, spears, stone nets, traces of primitive human fire and stone symbols that have not been interpreted so far were found. In the Tang Dynasty, there were Xizhou, Linzhou and Nengzhou in Chishui today.

In the third year of Daguan in the Northern Song Dynasty (1 109), Chishui was officially established as an administrative system, which was subordinate to Renhuai County of Zizhou at that time, and the county seat is now fuxing town. In the third year of Xuanhe (1 12 1), Zizhou was withdrawn, and Renhuai County was reduced to a fort, which was placed under Hejiang County of Luzhou.

In the second year of Duanping in the Southern Song Dynasty (1235), Renhuaibao was changed to the management of Bozhou Xuanwei Department.

In the Yuan Dynasty, Yang Bangxian, director of the Broadcasting Department of Bozhou, lowered the Yuan Dynasty, and made Renhuai Fort and Wuducheng (now Xishui Tucheng) the places of Renhuai and ancient temples, and sent inspectors to the former Renhuai Fort.

In the early Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang destroyed the summer and Huaiyang County was abolished, which was under the jurisdiction of Bozhou Xuanwei Division.

The Qing Dynasty was founded in the Ming Dynasty. In the sixth year of Yongzheng (1728), it was assigned to Guizhou with Zunyi Prefecture.
