During the Ming Dynasty, Zhujiajiao was once famous for its cloth industry in the south of the Yangtze River, known as the "clothing and quilt world" and became a giant town in the south of the Yangtze River. At the beginning of Qing Dynasty, Zhujiajiao rice industry sprang up suddenly, which promoted the prosperity of all walks of life. Sometimes, "a long street is three miles long, and there are thousands of shops." In the early years of the Republic of China, there was a saying in the rice market in Shanghai that "Shanghai is full of rice and 70% of Zhujiajiao". It can be seen that the prosperity at that time.

There are two passages at the entrance of the ancient town, one is for locals to enter and exit, and the other is for tourists. Fare 10 yuan. It's three o'clock in the afternoon, the sun is shining and there are not many pedestrians on the street. Some antique buildings with white walls and tiles have been built on both sides of the street, which is not ugly. Walking, you come to the "Bridge of Life" in the center of the ancient town. I looked at the inscription on the bridge, which said that the bridge was built in the middle of the Ming Dynasty and has a history of more than 400 years. Moreover, the origin of the name of the bridge is quite interesting. It is said that once upon a time there was a monk who made a rule that only fish could be released under this bridge, hence the name "Freedom Bridge". I jumped to the highest point of the bridge three times and twice, because the bridge is very high and I can see the panoramic view of the ancient town from above. There are restaurants and shops on both sides of the strait, and banners fluttering in the wind seem to tell the story of its prosperity. Just thinking, the smell of meat mixed with glutinous rice floating from the other end of the bridge attracted my attention. I buy zongzi, fat hooves, tied meat and smoked green beans everywhere in the street. The meat turned into sauce red, which made my appetite big. I spent two yuan to buy a piece of tied meat (braised pork wrapped in brown leaves), which is fragrant when I bite it. It's really the best food in the world. . . After eating, I walked across the street to the north. This town is very quiet, and most people live by the river and water. The river turns left and right, and the embankment made of stones walks to the river every short period, where you can wash clothes and vegetables. There are many alleys by the river, which are extremely narrow. Walking in is the patio shared by several families. People in Zhujiajiao are very tolerant. When they see me walking into the alley, in front of my house or in the backyard, they won't drive people away and let you walk around. Zhujiajiao has many places to see, unlike some water towns where there is only one street. Its alleys are winding, and you will see small attractions if you are not careful. Walking on the ancient street will have an illusion, feeling back to thousands of years ago. Time is meaningless here. Counting the inclination of the shadow, the days slipped away unconsciously.

Turn a circle and come to North Street, which is the main street of Zhujiajiao. It has a history of more than 400 years. It's a shame to say it's a street In fact, this street is also called the first-line street. As the name implies, when you look up at the sky, you only see a narrow one. The narrowness of the street is beyond imagination, only about 2 meters. Not to mention the sound of chickens and dogs, no matter how loud you are, I'm afraid you will scare the neighbors across the street. I can't help sighing in this street: Are the original inhabitants of this ancient street harmonious? Otherwise, who can stand the fact that their lives are so close?

Go to the end of the street, turn and see a stone bridge. There is a Buddhist temple across the bridge. Look carefully to know that it is Yuanjin Temple. Built between the Yuan Dynasty and Mindfulness, this temple is one of the twelve scenic spots in Tsinghua Pavilion. There is a statue of the Virgin of Chenzhou in the temple, so it is also called "Niangniang Temple". The yard is small, but the house is exquisite. The stone carving on the roof reminds me of the Flower Theater. At this time, the sun has moved to the west, and the setting sun makes the zhaobi look quiet. I went for a walk and saw an advertisement posted on the courtyard wall, which read "Three-dimensional General Aviation Crossing Dafa". The above words made me laugh. It seems that Buddhism really responded to General Secretary Jiang's call and began to "keep pace with the times". There are some beautiful MM at the entrance of the temple. They secretly took some photos while people were not looking, and then quickly flashed out the side door. Go further, and you will reach the Chenghuang Temple. The gate is surrounded by a wooden fence, and a stone lion stands on each side. There is a clearing and an arch in front of the gate. People have been gathering here for hundreds of years, burning incense and worshiping God. The archway leans against the river and looks at the flowing water in the river. Carefree aquatic plants are dancing below, and the water reflects the old house, which really feels that time flies. Go on, just a few steps to Wang Chang's former residence. Wang was a famous poet in Qing Dynasty, and he was an official with Liu Yong. He used to be the right assistant minister of the Ministry of War and the criminal department, and was a close friend of Liu. I stayed in his back garden for a while and experienced his carefree life in those years when he was studying. However, in the political climate of bloody Qing Dynasty, I don't know that Wang Chang ever enjoyed what I imagined, and it's hard to say that he didn't!

Houses in the south of the Yangtze River are really clean. Some houses have red painted toilets at the door, which are very clean. Against the background of white walls and black tiles, it looks so suitable, and it will not make people feel uncomfortable because it is a drowning device. Through a narrow street, I came to the Qing post office. This post office should be one of the earliest private post offices in China, built at 1850. Guangxu years nationalized. Some stamps and ancient postal procedures displayed in it are very interesting. I suggest you have a look at them in the future.
