When you worship, you are not thinking about what will happen to your son, but thanking the bodhisattva. You should have a heart that praises and respects the Bodhisattva. In other words, you go to worship the Bodhisattva and ask the Bodhisattva for help, not for your son. The starting point is completely different. Just like doing a good deed. Some people say it before they do it, and some people do it without saying it. Who do you think is kinder?
