Folk Culture in Huaibin County

Huaibin cloth carving painting was invented by Zheng Zhenhuai, a farmer in Fanghu Town, and was patented in China National Intellectual Property Administration. His works, The Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival, The Eighty-seven Immortals Volume, Mountain Scenery, and The Map of Ancient Military Commanders, have won numerous awards at various national cultural industry fairs.

Xiaoying clay sculpture

Clay sculpture, a traditional cultural product in Xiaoying Village, Sankongqiao Township, Huaibin County, has been carefully screened, mixed, kneaded, fired and colored. Clay sculpture animals and figures are one of the oldest musical instruments in the Huaihe River Basin. The main specialties of Huaibin are: oolong tea, Ranunculus ternatus, vermicelli, Pinellia ternata, Euryale ferox, yellow sand, poplar and jujube.
