Huazhou City belongs to Maoming City, Guangdong Province.

Huazhou (Shilong), alias: Orange City and Orange State, is located in the southwest of Guangdong Province, west of Maoming City, bordering Gaozhou City and suburb of Maoming City in the east, Wuchuan City in Zhanjiang in the southeast, Lianjiang City in Zhanjiang in the southwest, Luchuan County and Beiliu City in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in the northwest and north. It is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Maoming City, Guangdong Province.

The Natural Environment of Huazhou City

Huazhou city is long from north to south and narrow from east to west. The terrain inclines from northwest to southeast, high in the north and low in the south. The landform type is mainly hilly land, accounting for 75.5% of the total area of the city.

The northern part is Gao Qiu District, which is a branch of Yunkai Mountain Range, accounting for 38.4% of the city's total area, including Pingding, Wenlou, Boyang, Bao Xu, Nawu and Hejiang. At an altitude of 200 ~ 400 meters, iron stone is the highest point. The landform is irregular mountain, which belongs to the weathering and denudation landform of metamorphic rocks and migmatites in Sinian strata.
