Implementation progress

On September 19 and 16, the world's largest single satellite hall and the world's first urban rail transit airport air-side rapid transit system will be officially put into use, which will further enhance the service capacity and level of Shanghai Aviation Hub.

The boarding, transfer and arrival of some flights will be carried out in the satellite hall. The satellite hall is divided into two parts, S 1 and S2, which are respectively connected to the main building of T 1 and T2 by MRT, and the MRT takes less than 3 minutes one way.

Procedures such as check-in, baggage check-in, exit formalities, and security inspection for departing passengers are still carried out in the main building of T/KLOC-0 and/or T2. Passengers with letters "G" or "H" at the boarding gate of boarding pass need to take the MRT train to the satellite hall after security inspection.

Arriving passengers who stay in the satellite hall need to take the MRT train back to the main building of T 1 or T2 to go through the immigration formalities and get their checked baggage.
