Ningxia Zhongwei Gaomiao Temple (original)

On Zhongwei Street, before getting off the bus, I saw a building in the distance, with a colorful arch with a cornice and a corner, hanging under the blue sky, majestic and beautiful as a phoenix, as if spreading its wings.

This is the high temple.

The high temple rises from the loess plateau and stacks up from the flat ground. If it is volley, it is much higher than the surrounding buildings.

Gao Temple is a temple integrating Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. It integrates Wenchang, Jade Emperor, Guan Gong, Virgin Mary, Buddha, Bodhisattva, Lohan and Guanyin. It also shapes all beings in hell and teaches people to turn to goodness, which is also a great beauty of the belief in the temple.

The walls, corridors, doors, windows and partitions in the temple are all painted with exquisite pictures, which are carefully matched and dotted with gardening and green plants. Brick carving, wood carving, carving beams and painting buildings. Because the buildings of the high temple are stacked on top of each other, the front porch of the back hall is often next to the back eaves of the front hall, which makes people feel confused and out of touch with the region.

Colleagues said that climbing the top floor of the high temple overlooks the Yellow River and the desert. I dare not climb the pagoda for nothing, but with a pious heart, I quietly withdrew from the main hall and walked away from Luohan Hall.

The statues in Luohan Hall are lifelike, magnificent and exquisite.

The afternoon sunshine is projected into the main hall and shines on several arhats one by one, making them instantly smart and mysterious.

There are couplets in the temple. The first couplet says that "the degree of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism is here", and the second couplet says that "the creation and transformation of heaven and earth are here", and horizontally criticizes "the bridge of supreme practice".

The language of couplets is extraordinary, but the vegetarian meals of monks are all the same porridge and sauerkraut, which is no different from the secular.

Many men and women gathered in the shade of the courtyard outside the temple, divining fate and asking about the future.

A fellow traveler chooses a piece of chicken skin and a piece of crane hair, like a gentleman with a wonderful mind asking for divination.

All the fellow travelers laughed, and the fortune teller pushed his age by a whole year or two.

The fortune teller looked at his peers and realized that he had slipped his tongue. He quickly added: "Letters without books, letters without books!" .

I think the real height of the high temple is here, not only in the building, but also at the altitude of the temple. The height of the high temple lies in self-consciousness, returning to reality in time after self-consciousness, abandoning books and changing them.

A high temple, even if it is as beautiful as a phoenix, even if it is flying; Even if the three religions are integrated, even if one thing shows thousands of ways, I think this is wisdom, great wisdom, understanding after awakening, and the true meaning of wisdom.
