The difference between a female duck and a male duck: look at the tail, touch the anus, look at the feathers and listen to the sound.

1, watch your tail. We can lift the duck with our palms, and then press the thumb on the duck's back. If the tail of a duck is downward, it is a male duck; on the other hand, if it is upward, it is a female duck.

2. Touch the anus. We can touch the bottom of the duck's anus with our hands. If it feels convex, it is a male duck, otherwise it is a female duck.

3. Look at these feathers. Adult drakes usually have a ring of bright green feathers around their necks, while female ducks don't have such feathers and the colors are not as bright as drakes.

4. Listen to the sound. We gently pinch the duck's neck with our hands and then let it make a sound. If the voice sounds crisp, it is a female duck; if it is hoarse, it is a male duck. The female muscovy duck's call is very sharp, while the male muscovy duck's call is relatively low, sometimes mixed with breathing, which sounds a bit like a "hump" sound. It's easy to tell a male from a female, because the female cackles and the male doesn't.

The beaks of male mallard ducks are bright yellow, while those of female mallard ducks are brown and orange. The beak of this breed of male duck is olive green to yellow, and the beak of female duck is brown to orange with some black spots on it. There is a small yellow spot at the bottom of the duck bill of the male mandarin duck, and the rest are red. During mating season, the beaks of brown hard-tailed ducks turn light blue.
