The origin of Ji' an Bailuzhou

Egret Island, Ji 'an, Jiangxi Province is located in the middle reaches of Ganjiang River in the east of Ji 'an City, Jiangxi Province. It is a spindle-shaped oasis with a length of 1.5 km and a width of 0.5km. It is formed by sediments carried by rivers and looks like an egret. Covered with lush forests and bamboo forests, it has become the habitat of hundreds of birds. Blue waves surge in the river, and fish and shrimps roam around, providing rich food for birds, so there are many birds and egrets on the mainland. The predecessors were named after the poem of Li Bai, a great poet in the Tang Dynasty, "Three mountains and a half fall outside the sky, like this Egret Island divides the river". Because Bailuzhou is far from the shore, although the terrain of the center of the mainland is higher than that of the river bank, it is always felt that Bailuzhou is far below the river bank because of parallax. But every time the riverbank is flooded and the center of the mainland is not drowned, there is a saying that "the water rises and the egrets float".

Bailuzhou is located in the middle of Ganjiang River in the east of Jizhou District. It is a continent pearl formed by long-term siltation of less mud, with an area of about 6,543,800 square meters. Shaped like a shuttle, the forest is luxuriant, the green water is quiet and the scenery is pleasant. Bailuzhou Academy, one of the three ancient academies in Jiangxi Province, is located on this continent, where a large number of people with lofty ideals have been trained. Wen Tianxiang, Deng Guangjian, Liu Chenweng and other famous ministers and great scholars all came from this door. The scenic spots and historical sites in the courtyard, such as Zhangyun Pavilion, Yuefeng Tower, Retro Pavilion and Panyuechi, are well preserved for people to visit. Since then, the academy has gained great fame, and it has been called the four major academies in Jiangxi with Bailudong, Zhang Yu and Ehu. The existing "Yunzhangge" on the mainland was rebuilt in the 20th year of Wanli of Ming Dynasty (1592). "Yuefeng Building" is a three-story brick-wood building with ethnic architectural style, which was rebuilt in the seventh year of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty (1868). There are other academy sites, such as Pan yuechi county, Zhuangyuan Bridge and Gujitai. Bailuzhou has been the seat of institutions of higher learning since 124 1 year. More than 700 years have passed, and books on the mainland have been ringing. Now it is the location of Bailuzhou Middle School, a key middle school in Jiangxi Province. In order to improve the school-running conditions of Bailuzhou, the relevant departments of the province, prefecture and city jointly invested 165438+ ten thousand yuan (current price) and decided to build Bailuzhou Bridge. Due to the efforts of the transportation department, the bridge started in June 1985 and was completed and opened to traffic in February 1987. The bridge is 220m long,15m high and 9m wide. It crosses the river from Hexi to the west bank of Bailuzhou, so some people call it "Ganjiang Half Bridge". After the completion of the bridge, it not only did a real good thing and practical thing for education, but also made Bailuzhou and Ji 'an central city integrate into one and become a beautiful landscape in Ji 'an.
